Chibitronics Paper Circuit Projects
Chibitronics embodies so much of what I value as a designer and educator. Their paper circuit supplies and resources help us to explore the unexpected intersection of paper craft and electronics, and to create things that seem magical. Jie Qi’s breath activated, glowing dandelion painting is forever imprinted in my imagination, and sparked my interest in paper circuits many years ago. How incredible to be able to bring light, electricity, switches, and sensors into your practice of creating with paper and other more “traditional” media!
I’ve incorporated Chibitronics materials into makerspace workshops and shared the delight of incorporating light into printed images, pop up scenes, and paper book nooks with workshop participants of all ages.
I’ve also been honored to share some of my creations and explorations through the Chibitronics blog and online resource library over the past few years.
